Robert M. Holt, Jr., CFA

In 2001, Robert founded Holt Capital Partners (“HCP”) and has built the firm’s reputation

as a trusted investment manager.

 

Prior to founding HCP, Robert was a Principal at Luther King Capital Management (“LKCM”)

from 1983 until 2001. At LKCM, he was responsible for a broad range of equity, fixed

income, and balanced portfolios including advising clients on investment policy, asset

allocation, and portfolio structuring. Robert’s career began at American Founders Life

Insurance Company in 1978, where he developed and implemented the company’s overall

investment strategy. He has extensive experience analyzing a wide variety of equity and

fixed income securities.

 

Robert serves on the Investment Committee of the Rainwater Charitable Foundation. He is

also active in the community and serves as the Chairman of the Endowment Investment

Committee of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, he is a Trustee of the Boy Scout Foundation, Longhorn Council, BSA and serves on the Board of the North Texas Community Foundation. Previously Robert served as a Director of Central Bank and Trust and as a member of the Wells Fargo Bank Community Advisory Board. He has also served as the President of the Breakfast Club of Fort Worth.  

Robert received his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Finance and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Louisiana Tech University. While in graduate school, Robert received the Houston Society of Financial Analysts Scholarship Award for original research in equity valuation using options. He is currently a member of the Advisory Committee for The MBA Investment Fund, LLC at the University of Texas and the College of Business Advisory Board at Louisiana Tech.

 

Robert is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Dallas/Fort Worth.
